Course Description and Setting
Meadowbrook Country Club is located in the southeastern part of Wake County, just outside the city limits of Garner, North Carolina. The club property of approximately 120 acres is roughly bordered by White Oak Road on the north, Country Club Drive on the west, Battlefield Drive on the east, and several residential properties on the south and northwest.
The south side of the property is buffered by a wooded area from the residential properties, but houses to the northwest of the property are adjacent to the golf course. Country Club Drive serves as the approach road into the club, winding along the western edge of the property, with trees on both sides, and turning east to end in front of the clubhouse facilities.
There is a large lake on the northern edge of the country club property, with the property generally buffered on all sides by wooded areas and some residential lots. The buildings which make up part of the country club are located south of the lake, with the nine-hole golf course located in the southern half of the property. Meadowbrook Country Club contains several significant landscape elements including the lake and pier, the picnic area, a putt-putt course, a golf course, a swimming pool, and tennis courts. Buildings include the clubhouse and pro shop, a bathhouse, two storage sheds, and a golf cart shed, all of which are clustered together.
